20% gratuity on a take out order. Thanks for not telling people. The chicken was so thin it was like rubber and the beans I know came out of a can. Yuck. With so many local restaurants needing business I'll take mine elsware.

Terrible service. Table of four, 545 reservation. Was 6:20 before we could place our order. Food arrived at 7:20 and incorrectly made. Staff did not seem to be bothered that it took so long. No water refills, no "unending bread". Will never return which is unfortunate since it was recommended by friends. The restaurant was busy as it should be on a Saturday evening, but that's no excuse for really bad service and poor attitudes

I love Perlo's. We go there almost every Friday. The food is great and Donna is always welcoming. We had our 60th Wedding Anniversary there. They made it very nice for us.

Food was delicious and service was friendly but inattentive. Was a busy night so maybe they were just overwhelmed.

I can’t rate this even a one, called on 12/21/19 to make sure that would be able to do take out and when I called today they said “no” I said great this was are x-mas dinner and at 4 pm on the afternoon I get the bad news and the owner would not budge! I will never go there or recommend anyone to go there.

Always good food at a reasonable price. Service is great and atmosphere pleasant.

Great food and service from friendly staff. Not rushed at all

I’ve gone twice before and the food is mediocre but my reason for leaving one star happened a few weeks ago. I went to a friend’s party in the enclosed patio. My friend knows the owners and the party was organized by a friend who has a menu item named after her. Still they tried to rush the party to end and guests to leave, first by putting away leftover food into containers while people were still arriving and eating, removing glasses from tables that people were still drinking, closing all the windows of the patio, and finally turning the lights off. Mind you, the restaurant was still open. I will never give Perlo’s my business again. This is how they treated people they know and care about and name menu items after.

My dinner selection lacked flavor, very bland. Biggest complaint is the piped in music that is loud, even with a full dining room. Difficult to hold a conversation. It should be turned off or kept down to a whisper. There to eat and talk with friends, not to hear a concert!

Very busy, very lowd, tables are very close, was looking forward to a quiet dinner, not the.case, food is excellent, service is very good. This is a higher end restaurant, please don't come in your sweatpants and remove your hat.

Service and food were phenomenal. Portions were very generous. All of the staff were friendly and made you feel welcomed.

The food was great and the service even better. We had a large group (9) and our server checked on us often. Everyone loved their food (but if you like your fish french tangy, tell them no sherry as it really sweetens the dish) and were impressed with everything. If you are from the Utica area, their Chicken Riggies are awesome. We shared 4 appetizers and had more than enough to go around.

Excellent food, excellent service. I was there for a private dinner, and the private dining room was a bit of a tight squeeze, but the food and service more than make up for that.

Ordered takeout from Perlo's twice. First time they forgot dessert. 2nd time wrong soups and one order was totally wrong. Ordered Cioppino and got chicken parm. Will never go to Perlo's again.In addition, they caharged us for the Cioppino at 26.00 and not the parm, which was 18.00. I would ask for my money back, but it took us forever to get repaid for dessert we never got.

This was my families first time going here and it was a disappointment to say the least. Our server was very rude and short. They gave us bread that was more like a crouton and a salad that was drowned in dressing. The lasagna that we ordered was clearly just heated up and tasted terrible. The overall experience was terrible and we will not be back again. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

All and all it was not worth it. The food was not that good. The prices are pretty high. The service was awful. I tried to be understanding that they got busy but it was ridiculous how badly we were treated. The only saving grace was the restaurant building itself was pretty.

Great place! No reservations and they still seated us with no problem, on a Saturday evening! Good crowd... attentive, efficient and friendly service, great tasting food and reasonable prices! Loved the decor and ambiance... the lasagna was excellent!

Meal was ok at best. Horrible thing is the waitress turned our $20 tip into an almost $50 tip without permission. Her service was lacking and she was rude to us as well.

You have to go to Perlos! The food is delish, the menu is huge, and the service is suberb!

There was an expensive service fee on our bill and I don’t know what it was for. A tip? . We haven’t tried Perlos in a while because I noticed some change in your lasagna, skimping on the meal. A definite menu change. Up to that point , it was a good place to eat. . We decided to give you another try for Easter. We had been regulars. The curb side service was good because of the pandemic but the two desserts that we ordered were very skimpy and were 10.00 each. The salads that went with the meal were kind of pathetic. . This has been an unfortunate experience because we eat out a lot. The chicken parmigiana was ok. You may want to reconsider your cutting back on quantity. You lost a good customer and recommendation.

Great food, great place really enjoyed the atmosphere. I come from an Italian family so it’s nice to eat in a very authentic Italian restaurant. Thanks again for the recommendation, will be back soon.

My grandparents know Italian food and picked Perlos as their Christmas gift dinner choice. We arrived before the crowd for a 5:30pm dinner reservation and by the time we left the place was packed! They had cardoons for the special appetizer which was so exciting for us... great grandma used to make them! We all enjoyed our pasta entrees as well and the service was excellent. The prices were very reasonable and you get a ton of good food. We had a great dinner!

This place is a hidden gem in East Rochester! We were quickly greeted and luckily seated. I had forgotten to make a reservation, so we were lucky. You should make a reservation because it’s clear this place is known by family and friends of the owner and fills up! The owner was walking around talking to several people. It was clear she has several regulars and she knows them well. We had great service. Our food was delicious! Great portion sizes as well! We would have loved to get a dessert, but we were so full! Can’t wait to go back!

Great food. Horrible, unfriendly waitress. Terrible service-no water refills, no bread refills. She was literally rude to our table of 12 (made early 4pm reservations for my mother's 82nd birthday). I guess our $500 bill wasn't of any value to this restaurant.

Best Italian food I've found in Rochester

Worse place to dine. I was new to place and my friend took me for dinner.I ordered vegetarian pizza and they offer me pizza with pepperoni on it. After eating first slice I figure out they serve me pizza with pepperoni and the girl serving food was idiot. She don’t know the Vegetarian don’t eat meat.

Hosted Rehearsal Dinner at Perlo's. The food was excellent, and we had great servers and prompt service. I enjoyed working with Donna Perlo. She easily handled our food restrictions and developed a menu that was accommodating and tasty.We had guests who had various mobility issues, and the room was arranged so that everyone was comfortable. Well done, and many thanks!

We meet here by weekly for Rotary and the food is so delicious. Last week we were served spaghetti pie which was great. They offer great service as well.

Excellent food & Service!!

Man when I was there the ceiling tile fell down and water went everywhere. It landed on customers and on the food. It was not cool but really funny the way the customers acted. Food was ok and mine didn't get wet!

Our first visit tonight at Perlo’s was very disappointing and I’m sorry to say it will be our last. We had a 6:30 reservation and we watched 7 o’clock reservations be seated prior to us and we got seated in the “patio“ which was a card table and deck chairs. Our experience tonight was very disappointing and far from exceptional.

It was average. Perhaps it was my selection on the menu. My date enjoyed hers. Not crazy about the atmosphere. Rather noisy, felt because it was just the 2 of us service was somewhat lacking. Maybe try again in summer with outdoor seating.

Came here for a birthday celebration. I was more than satisfied. First off I I had the lasagna soup which was extraordinary. All of the people that I was worth ordered different dishes and I tried a little bit of everything almost… I really enjoyed my main course which was the gnocchi vodka. This is a really great restaurant and I advise anybody to go here for any event and we’re coming back for Easter and I am extremely excited. The chicken Parm is also a must get if you were wondering between any entrées definitely get the chicken Parm!

The food NEVER disappoints. We asked them to space our food out between appetizers and conversation our waitress did an excellent job. Dinner was served twenty minutes after appetizers we're done. Way to please !
